An emphasis on social wellbeing seeks to build and maintain healthy relationships with those around us by freely offering love and care, plus a sense of belonging and mutual appreciation. This involves open communication, setting boundaries and showing respect, regardless of age, caste, ethnic group or religious differences.
Jesus commanded us to love the underprivileged, the needy, the dispossessed, the abused, the broken, and those suffering from extreme poverty. Therefore, OMF teams search for those who live in unreached or disaster-affected areas and bring them assistance, mainly in the form of community development projects, hygiene kits, clothing, food packs and shelter. We also provide grieving people with a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on, while proclaiming the hope that is available through the Gospel. In this way, the lives of poor and destitute people will be transformed from poverty to physical and spiritual prosperity
Sindh, Baluchistan and South Punjab are facing severe flooding because of heavy rains, and thousands of people have lost their houses, leaving them without food and shelter, while increasing their risk of starvation and disease. Our teams in these areas are actively engaged in supplying food packs, hygiene kits, shelter and winter kits to support suffering families. These teams will also be constructing houses for those who are badly affected and have no means to rebuild on their own.
